Smart Snacks for Six Pack Abs
you hey guys jeff cavaliere back here from athleanx.com with the next installment our series on nutrition our snacks again my counter is filled up with a lot of food to kind of reinforce to you that you are not limited and the amount of choices that you have for snacks I think we're just sort of limited in the ideas that we have for snacks and what really qualifies as a healthy snack so today I want to show you about five or six that you can easily take with you and a lot of guys are busy a lot of you are on the run I want to give you some options that you can have and you can take with you be portable and make sure you get your snacks in here's one point here guys if you're trying to eat going from breakfast to lunch you're generally looking at around 6 hours that six hour time period is way too long if you're trying to build muscle if you want to build muscle you need to constantly feed your body every two and a half to three hours to make sure that your muscles that are trying to recover from let's say yesterday's workout have that constant flow of nutrients ready to be delivered to them to help them repair to help the recovery to help them get bigger so you need to eat every two and a half to three hours the nice side effect of that is also going to boost your metabolism and make you start to burn fat so start off on this end here you can never go wrong with a peanut butter sandwich you want peanut butter and jelly that's fine just choose the right kind of bread this is this is weight washing bread you don't necessarily need to have Weight Watchers what's a low calorie brightest forty calories of slice some of the ones out there actually had like a 160 to 180 calories on each slice you know some of the seven grain multigrain breads just be careful with the breads that you select but a good whole wheat bread something I would say probably less than 80 calories per slice would be great for you put any peanut butter if you want cut it into fourths this way here you can grab them just in quarters you can grab them a half at a time very portable they're not going to go bad throughout the day so that's one good one good way to do that you can also if you want go through single serving you know cans of tuna again we got a pop top on the top very easy for you to you know to to you know bring with you to the office good source of omega-3s getting very easy some cheese wedges you know these little laughing Calum ate the cheese wedge good source of protein individually wrapped so there again very portable they're not going to go bad you can take them with you throughout the day here looking at some hard-boiled eggs for some protein you have your yogurt you can you can mix those with just a handful of almonds you know something to get a little bit more healthy fats what you could do if you want to is create your own and these are all included in the in the meal plans create your own sort of trail mix bag take your own as a handful again we don't measure on these meal plans guys I don't want to turn you into little robots that are taking out your measuring cups and because that's simply not going to work it might work for you for a couple days but you're going to get tired of having to do that and you're not going to stick with it the important thing about the athlean-x meal plans is that you actually stick with these things from start to finish because you'll get the tremendous results by the time you're finished with the program when you when you pair it up hand-in-hand with the training so handful on us even if you want a handful of these semi-sweet chocolate right low sugar in here they're not as you know kind of like sound like regular chocolate mix them up handful together with the nuts bring out some of your favorite cereal I know last night a couple guys that they couldn't get a hold of the Kashi cereal over--overseas a low sugar cereal guys in like Cheerios something like crisps baked something like you know that's got some actual fiber in it low sugar we're not talking about Lucky Charms so mix it all together it's a good way to put a little plastic bag they have some trail mix that you can bring with you as well one of my favorites are the bars protein bars just because for me they're extremely portable I know getting enough protein in the calories sometimes fall between that 250 to 300 calorie range which is a perfect goal for you for your snacks and gimmick to me they taste that tastes pretty good so I recommend in the program that you know most of mostly the pro grade line of supplements and EAS they're both been around they're both high quality very reputable companies you're not going to go wrong and you're not going to get you're not going to delve into the unsafe things okay or some of the glorified candy bars that are out there so lastly one thing I like to do also another tip that I tell guys you'll see in the program pro-grade you know workout is one things that I recommend again very highly high quality highly purified real stuff you can count on the quality of this and actually helping you to build muscle you take your scoop of this powders comes in powder form take it out put in your shaker bottle in the morning okay just leave it in the bottom there when you're ready to drink it you pour on your bottle of water and then you shake it up and you have your drink is somewhat fresh it has been sitting in there all day alright so you could actually you know maintain the freshness of this just by changing the way the mix and you mix it up and add
